Předběžná náplň práce

Bakalářská práce se zabývá reprezentačními změnami z pohledu sexuality, genderu, rasy
a těla v animovaném seriálu She-Ra, přičemž je originální verze z roku 1985 porovnávána
s novodobou adaptací z roku 2018. Práce se zabývá historickým a politickým kontextem
reprezentace v animovaných seriálech vytvořených ve Spojených státech amerických.
Teoretická část čtenáři přibližuje, jakým způsobem mohou být mladí diváci ovlivněni
obsahem animované tvorby a jaké normy a standardy tyto díla představují. Práce zkoumá
historii animované tvorby se zaměřením na animační studia osmdesátých let minulého
století. Blíže se věnuje častým stereotypům ohledně sexuality a zobrazování rasových
menšin, genderovým rolím, heteronormativitě jako přirozenému řádu světa a politizaci těl.
Teoretická část je zakončena kapitolou o vlivu politické korektnosti na obsah starých
i nových příběhů. Praktická část je zaměřena na narativní analýzu vybraných postav ve
čtyřiceti epizodách obou verzí seriálu a sleduje, jak postavy vystupují ve své genderové roli,
jaké mají romantické vztahy s ostatními postavami, jejich rasu a vzhled.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on representational changes in terms of sexuality, gender,
race, and body in the animated series She-Ra, comparing the original 1985 version with the
modern 2018 adaptation. The thesis examines the historical and political context of
representation in animated series created in the United States. The theoretical part introduces
readers to how young viewers can be influenced by the content of animated works and the
norms and standards these works represent. The thesis explores the history of animated
production with a focus on animation studios of the 1980s. It delves into common stereotypes
regarding sexuality and the portrayal of racial minorities, gender roles, heteronormativity as
the natural order of the world, and the politicization of bodies. The theoretical part concludes
with a chapter on the influence of political correctness on the content of both old and new
stories. The practical part focuses on a narrative analysis of selected characters in forty
episodes from both versions of the series, examining how the characters are portrayed in
their gender roles, their romantic relationships with other characters, and their race and
appearance.
