Předběžná náplň práce

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá frankofonním spisovatelem a členem Francouzské akademie Dany Laferrièrem, stejně jako začátkem jeho literární tvorby a jeho prvním románem Comment faire l’amour avec un nègre sans se fatiguer. V úvodních kapitolách práce zkoumá širší kontext vzniku románu, zasazuje jej do autorova života a politického exilu z Haiti, nucené emigrace do Montrealu a následně jeho literárního debutu. V následujících kapitolách je věnována pozornost titulu románu, tomu, jaký ohlas vzbudil, proč vyvolal debatu napříč americkými státy proč byl cenzurován. Dále se zaměřujeme na autobiografické a autofikční prvky románu a spisovatelovu prezentaci ve veřejném prostoru. Závěrečné kapitoly se věnují propojení románu s historickým zákoníkem ze 17. století (Code Noir), který právně legalizoval obchod s černými otroky, autorově vnímání černošství skrze toto propojení a enigmatický původ jeho postav, stojící na zapření národnostní identity.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

This bachelor’s thesis deals with francophone writer and member of the French Academy Dany Laferrière, as well as the early beginnings of his literary work and his first novel Comment faire l’amour avec un nègre sans se fatiguer. In the opening chapters, the thesis explores the broader context of the novel’s creation, setting it in the author’s life and political exile from Haiti, forced emigration to Montreal, and then his literary debut. In the following chapters, attention is brought to the novel’s title, the response it drew, why it sparked debate across American states, and why it was censored. Next, we focus on the autobiographical and autofictional elements of the novel and the writer’s presentation in the public sphere. The final chapters focus on the novel’s connection to the seventeenth-century historical code (Code Noir) that legalized the black slave trade, the author’s perception of blackness through this connection, and the enigmatic origins of his characters, which is based on a denial of national identity.
