Práce by měla popsat vliv přehradních nádrží na společenstva ryb v tocích, s důrazem na zdrojové toky. Výstavba přehradních nádrží vede ke změnám ve struktuře habitatů, přerušení migračních tras, změny snosu látek a sedimentaci, ale i změny ve struktuře potravní nabídky ryb. Kromě toho ryby čelí kompetici a predaci ze strany společenstev ryb nově ustanovených v nádržích, které vytahují do toků nad nádržemi. Cílem práce je popsat tyto vlivy a poskytnout přehled současných znalostí a mezer ve výzkumu tohoto tématu.
