Práce se zaměří na problém lidské identity v aspektech kulturní etnicity, práva a zdraví prostřednictvím rozvoje molekulární genetiky od 90. let do současnosti. V centru pozornosti jako orientační milník stojí The Human Genome Project - co mu předchází a co následuje. Cílem je zmapovat dopad objevů moderní genetiky na veřejné diskurzy v podobě klíčových výzkumů, paradigmatických publikací a s nimi spojených společenských narativů. Motivací pro diskuzi je aplikace genetických věd v kontextu ideologií i současného vědeckého paradigmatu, resp. hodnotová ovlivnitelnost výzkumu.

The thesis will focus on the problem of human identity in aspects of cultural ethnicity, law and health through the development of molecular genetics from the 1990s to the present. The focus as a landmark is The Human Genome Project - what preceded it and what follows it. The aim is to map the impact of modern genetics discoveries on public discourses in the form of key research, paradigmatic publications and associated social narratives. The motivation for the discussion is the application of genetic sciences in the context of ideologies and the current scientific paradigm, or the value influences of research.
