Předběžná náplň práce

Práce se zabývá problematikou otoků, které vznikly v důsledku úrazu horní končetiny nebo po následném chirurgickém zákroku a mají dopad na hybnost končetiny a soběstačnost osob. Bakalářská práce má teoreticko-praktický charakter. Cílem práce je zmapovat, aplikovat na konkrétních pacientech a vyhodnotit efekt ergoterapeutických postupů při léčbě otoků po úrazech. Teoretická část popisuje patofyziologii otoků, základní poranění horní končetiny a obecné možnosti léčby. Hlavní část se zaměřuje na vyšetření končetiny a otoku ergoterapeutem a následně představuje možnosti ergoterapeutické intervence vhodné pro snížení poúrazového otoku. V praktické části práce jsou uvedeny dvě terapeutické kazuistiky pacientů po zlomenině distálního radia, u kterých je přítomen otok na postižené končetině. Obě kazuistiky obsahují vstupní vyšetření, popis ergoterapeutických intervencí a výstupní vyšetření. Při vyšetření byly provedeny metody hodnocení otoku (metoda osmičky, obvodové metody), podrobné vyšetření horní končetiny, hodnocení ADL a dotazník DASH. Terapie byly přizpůsobeny konkrétním cílům pacientů se zaměřením na techniky s pozitivním vlivem na otok a související kvalitu života. Po ukončení terapií byly vyhodnoceny výsledky vyšetření, které prokázaly účinnost terapií a jejich příznivý vliv na snížení otoků v oblasti akra a zápěstí a zlepšení celkové funkce končetiny.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

This thesis focuses on the topic of swelling resulting from an upper limb injury or a subsequent surgical procedure, which has an impact on limb mobility and the self-sufficiency of the affected individuals. The thesis has a theoretical and practical character. The aim of the thesis is to outline, apply and evaluate the effect of the occupational therapy interventions in the treatment of swelling after injury. The theoretical part describes the pathophysiology of edema, common upper limb injuries and general treatment options for injuries. The main part focuses on the examination of the extremity and edema and further presents occupational therapy intervention options for reducing post-traumatic edema. The practical part presents two therapeutic case reports of patients after distal radius fracture in whom swelling is present on the affected limb. Both case studies include an initial examination, a description of interventions, and a final examination. The examinations included edema assessment methods (figure of eight and circumference methods), a detailed upper limb examination, ADL assessment and DASH questionnaire. Therapies were adapted according to patients' specific goals, focusing on techniques with a positive effect on swelling and related quality of life. Post-treatment outcomes were evaluated to demonstrate the efficacy of the therapies and their beneficial effect on reducing acral and wrist swelling and improving overall limb function.
