The topic of the thesis includes the analysis and construction of exact solutions of gravity theories coupled to electromagnetic fields.
At the beginning, the student will become familiar with the relevant literature in four and higher dimensions. These will be subsequently extended in various contexts. The main focus will be on Kundt spacetimes. |

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce |
Kundt metrics describe well known wave-like solutions to Einstein's gravity, possibly coupled to electromagnetic or other matter fields [1--3]. Known extensions include higher dimensions and modified theories (cf., e.g., [4,5]), motivated, for example, from high-energy or string theory scenarios. The purpose of this thesis is to study possible extensions of various known results from the Einstein(-Maxwell) to more general theories theories with diverse dimensions and/or "corrections" to either the matter or the gravity part of the action, and to study how such corrections modify physical properties of the solutions. |
