The study of Muller and Gorp the effects media has on the diaspora communities and how it plays a role in the identity construction of the diasporas that live in the Netherlands. (Muller, 2011) The study of Christensen focuses on the Turkish diaspora residing in Stockholm and how the media plays a role in the identity formation of the diaspora community as the meaning of place changes for them.
