Endokrinní disruptory jsou skupinou chemických látek, které napodobují účinky endokrinních hormonů: především estrogenů a hormonů štítné žlázy. Objevující se důkazy však odhalují, že existují nepředvídatelné účinky na nervový systém, které jsou nezávislé na těchto endokrinních účincích. V této práci student posoudí nepříznivé účinky vybraných endokrinních disruptorů na nervový systém. Práce bude vyžadovat rozsáhlou práci s interdisciplinární akademickou literaturou.

Endocrine disruptors are a group of chemicals that mimic the effects of endocrine hormones: mainly estrogens and thyroid hormones. However, emerging evidence reveals that there are unpredicted effects on the nervous system that are independent of these endocrine effects. in this work, a student will assess the adverse effects of selected endocrine disruptors on the nervous system. Work will require extensive work with interdisciplinary academic literature.
