The work of this thesis explores named entity recognition in the biomedical domain in the context of limited training data inputs,
The goal of this thesis is to examine few-shot learning frameworks in the biomedical domain and explore the architectures and performance of few-shot named entity recognition. Few-shot learning is currently heavily explored in the general domain yet there have been limited results in the biomedical domain where there is often limited training data. In this work, I examine the performance of the aforementioned frameworks with regard to biomedical named entity benchmarks. |
