Predikce funkce proteinů je jedno z hlavních témat výpočetní biologie s velkým využitím v medicíně a biotechnologiích. S rapidně rostoucím počtem osekvenovaných genomů a velkým počtem identifikovaných protein-kódujících regionů vyvstává problém identifikace funkce těchto proteinů.

Prediction of protein function is one of the main topics in computational biology with great use in medicine and biotechnology. With the rapidly growing number of sequenced genomes and a large number of identified protein-coding regions, the problem of identifying the function of these proteins arises. Thanks to in-silico methods, we are now able to predict protein-protein interactions. Analysis of protein-protein interaction networks allows the identification of protein function at the whole organism level, which takes into account information from the whole proteome. The work aims to analyze the topic and present current approaches to the problems presented.
