Předběžná náplň práce

Diplomová práce Posluchačem true crime podcastu: výzkum publika pořadu Opravdové zločiny se věnuje aktuálně velmi oblíbenému žánru true crime a fenoménu podcastingu. Zaměřuje se na true crime podcast Opravdové zločiny a na jeho skalní fanoušky s cílem odhalit jejich motivace k poslechu podcastu a k účasti na dalších s ním spojených aktivitách. V teoretické části je představena historie i současnost žánru true crime s důrazem na jeho publikum a na vývoj projevů a forem fanouškovství v jeho dlouhé historii. Práce dále rozděluje podcasty žánru true crime do dvou skupin – na publicistické a zábavní a následně definuje jejich charakteristické rysy. Popsány jsou také nejvýznamnější zástupci každé kategorie – podcasty Serial a My Favorite Murder a jejich fandomy.
Následná praktická část představuje průběh a závěry výzkumu, zaměřeného na skalní fanoušky zábavního true crime podcastu v českém prostředí, pořadu Opravdové zločiny, s cílem identifikovat a popsat jejich motivace a zasadit je do kontextu historických pramenů i moderních kvantitativních výzkumů obdobných pořadů ze zahraničí – především ze Spojených států. Výzkum jako stěžejní motivaci skalních fanoušků k poslechu podcastu označuje fascinaci zločinem, a především jeho pachateli. The diploma thesis "Listening to the True Crime Podcast: Audience Analysis of the Podcast Opravdové zločiny" focuses on a currently prevalent genre of true crime and the phenomenon of podcasting. It focuses on the true crime podcast and its devoted fans in order to reveal their motivation to listen to the podcast Opravdové zločiny and participate in other related activities. The theoretical part presents the history and present of the true crime genre, emphasizing its audience and the development of forms of fandom in its long history. The work further divides podcasts of the true crime genre into two categories - investigative and entertaining - and then defines their characteristics. The most important representatives of each category - the podcasts "Serial" and "My Favorite Murder" - and their fandoms are also described.
The following practical part presents the conclusions of research focused on devoted fans of the entertaining Czech true crime podcast "Opravdové zločiny" in order to identify and describe their motivation in the context of historical sources and modern quantitative research of similar programs from abroad - especially from the United States. Research identifies fascination with crime, primarily with its perpetrators, as a key motivation for devoted fans to listen to the podcast. At the same time, this thesis identifies the function of the podcast as an instrument for socialization in occupation. Considerable attention is also paid to the fear of crime and its gender aspects.
