Diplomová práce "Rozmazávání genderu": Vyjednávání nebinárních a genderově nekonformních identit v České republice se pohybuje ve studijním oboru queer studií. Věnuje se tvorbě, artikulaci, vyjednávání a pojímání nebinárních*, agender či genderově nekonformních identit (GNC). Důležitým aspektem přitom je, že práce analyzuje chápání těchto genderových sebeidentifikací pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s osobami, které se samy identifikují jako nebinární*, agender či genderově nekonformní. Práce tak dává hlas lidem, jejichž genderová identita není společensky uznávána. Práce se snaží porozumět a zachytit v čem a jak je vyjednávání a tvoření nebinarity komplikované. Hlavními výzkumnými otázkami jsou: Jakým způsobem nebinární* lidé či genderově nekonformní lidé z ČR formulují svoji identitu? Jakým způsobem realizují svoji identitu? Co je nebinárním/genderově nekonformním lidem z ČR příjemné ve společnosti i v soukromí? A jaký vliv mají genderově nekonformní/nebinární identity na jejich vztahy s lidmi? Práce se s využitím kvalitativní obsahové analýzy pokouší proniknout do významů, které nebinární/agender a GNC lidé popisují při artikulaci svých identit a rozkrývá/pojmenovává mocenský nátlak, kterému čelí v každodenním životě. Při analýze se například vynořuje tématika významu nových médií (sociálních sítí a online prostředí) při realizaci nebinárních genderů nebo taktika vědomého rozmazávání své genderové sebeprezentace a další.

The master's thesis "Blurring Gender": Negotiating Non-binary and Gender Non-conforming Identities in the Czech Republic operates within the field of Queer Studies. It focuses on the creation, articulation, negotiation and understanding of non-binary*, agender and gender nonconforming (GNC) Identities. An important aspect of the thesis is that it analyzes the understanding of these gender self-identifications through semi-structured interview with people who themselves identify as non-binary*, agender or gender nonconforming. Through this, the thesis lends a voice to people whose gender identity is not accepted by society. It is important to better understand and capture the complexities of negotiating and creating non-binariness. The main research questions are: How do non-binary* or gender nonconforming people from the Czech Republic formulate their identity? How do they enact their identity? What do non-binary/gender-nonconforming people from the Czech Republic prefer in public and in privacy? How do their GNC/non-binary identities affect their relationships? Using qualitative content analysis, the thesis attempts to penetrate into the meanings that non-binary/agender and GNC people describe in articulating their identities and uncover/name the oppressive forces they face in everyday life. Among other things, the analysis also addresses issues such as the importance of new media, social networks and online environments for the enacting of non-binary genders or the strategy of consciously blurring one's gender self-presentation.
