Práce má za cíl kritickou explanaci populistického momentu české politiky během druhé dekády 21. století. Nástup populismu je zde chápaný jako důsledek krize polistopadové hegemonie – diskurzivní formace, jež vyhrazovala prostor, v kterém probíhala politická diskuze během demokratické transformace. Výzkum vychází z poststrukturalistické diskurzivní teorie, jejíž ontologie poskytuje analytický rámec pro pochopení formálních dimenzí populismu. Práce analyzuje diskurzy korupce, vládnutí a představ společenství vybraných politických stran a hnutí (ANO, Úsvit přímé demokracie, SPD, Česká pirátská strana a ODS) v období 2013–2017. Antikorupční diskurzy se v tomto období staly nástrojem delegitimizace polistopadové hegemonie a vytvořily prostor pro artikulaci demokratického deficitu a zpochybnění projektu transformace. Neoliberální vládnutí, jež bylo jedním ze základních prvků polistopadové hegemonie, zkoumanými hnutími odmítnuto nebylo, avšak jeho dílčí prvky byly reartikulovány. Teprve v diskurzech představ společenství došlo k jasné transgresi vůči obsahu polistopadové hegemonie zpochybněním projektu návratu do Evropy. Práce také kriticky zkoumá vztah mezi populismem a demokracií v kontextu pozvolného konce postkomunistické transformace.

The thesis aims for a critical explanation of populist moment of Czech politics during the second decade of the 21st century. The emergence of populism is understood here as a consequence of the crisis of the post-November hegemony – a discursive formation that set the space in which political discussion took place during the democratic transformation. The research draws on poststructuralist discursive theory, which through its ontology provides an analytical framework for understanding the formal dimensions of populism. The thesis analyses the discourses of corruption, governance and imaginaries of the community of selected political parties and movements (ANO, SPD, Dawn of Direct Democracy, Czech Pirate Party and ODS) in the period 2013-2017. In this period, anti-corruption discourses became a tool to delegitimise the post-November hegemony and created a space for articulating the democratic deficit and questioning the project of transformation. Neoliberal governance, which was one of the basic elements of the post-November hegemony, was not rejected by the movements in question, but its partial elements were rearticulated. It was only in the discourses of the imagined communities that a clear transgression towards the content of the post-November hegemony took place by undermining the project of the return to Europe. The thesis also critically examines the relationship between populism and democracy in the context of the gradual end of the post-communist transition.
