Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce |
Two-dimensional (2D) materials have led to exciting physical, chemical, and optical phenomena among various cutting-edge concepts in electronics, artificial intelligence, sensing, vectorial motion, and separation at the mesoscopic to Ångstrom scale. Because 2D species represent surface-only entities in the three-dimensional world, their electronic states are enormously sensitive to any interaction with the environment, which leads to significant changes in band structure and properties. Thus, their performance can be mediated by many means, such as macroscopic physical fields, interaction with underlying substrates, other 2D crystals under a specific mutual orientation, and various molecular species either located in close proximity or forming a chemical bond with the 2D lattice.
The main goal is to develop relevant methodology for studying systems based on 2D materials and magnetic molecules, which potentially accommodate different chiralities, including geometric (chemical) and Berry phase-related chiralities, and to achieve a remote control of the chiral selectivity through photonic and magnetic fields. |
