Zásady pro vypracování

Studentka se ve své magisterské práci soustředí na období po otevření Koreje, tzn. v době od 2.pol. 19. století do 1. pol. 20.století. Zaměří se na písemné prameny západních autorů věnující se náboženství Koreje. Soustředí se v první řadě na buddhismus, zahrne také ostatní náboženství, ke ktrým se zkoumaní autoři vyjadřují. Tyto náboženské a filozofické směry budou sloužit pro srovnání s buddhismem. Studentka bude skrze jednotlivé spisy pozorovat to, jak byly jednotlivé náboženské tradice popisovány a konstruovány. Vyzdvihne jejich společné body a odlišnosti a předestře ucelený obraz konstruované podoby vývoje korejského náboženství, obzvláště buddhismu, prezentovaný ve spisech západních cestovatelů a misionářů.
