Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce
Motivation:
Current trend in strategic management is to apply strategic approaches used mostly in large organizations also in smaller entities. Both academic and business literature argues that even the smallest entities can benefit from using a strategic approach. Academic sources lack a connection with workaday strategic issues of real business entities. Business sources on the other hand rely on insufficiently elaborate framework or background to build sound conclusions. This thesis aims to utilize comprehensive theoretical framework of academic sources, combine it with workaday approaches of focus on processes, their mapping, assignment, design and their utilizing for designing an organizational structure.

Expected contribution:
Thesis’ contribution is twofold. First, it consolidates academic literature with modern business literature into one comprehensive and complex source using unified terminology and approach. Therefore, a knowledge of academic sources will be connected with workaday strategic issues of real business entities and business sources to build a robust framework.
Second, the thesis examines usefulness of strategic approach to an entity setup for small business entities.

Methodology:
Numerous theoretical sources from both academical and business side will be collected. Theoretical framework will be derived utilizing synthesis from academic and business sources. This framework will be applied to a small Czech company. The empirical part will start with „as is“ analysis, which consists of a complex mapping of process structure. Each process will be analyzed, a process owner will be assigned and allocated within the process map („to be“ analysis). Based on results from the process analysis, will be decided, whether the proposed process-based organizational structure will be applied.
