Teoretická část práce popisuje možnosti využití LCD a VLCD diet v léčbě obezity a DM II – dvou nejčastějších onemocnění, která nalezneme v anamnézách pacientů indikovaných k RP a popisuje rozdíl mezi léčbou obezity v komerční a zdravotní sféře (pro komerční sféru je použit pojem management obezity). Práce hodnotí pacienty na 3. interní klinice VFN - nejčastější indikace k RP, průměrnou hmotnost, kterou pacienti během RP zredukují a zjišťuje dlouhodobý vliv na hmotnost – roční follow up s porovnáním pacientů s DM II a bez něj (nDM II). Data budou sbírána retrospektivně.

The theoretical part of the bachelor‘s thesis is focused on LCD and VLCD in obesity and diabetes mellitus treatment - the two most common diseases that can be found in the medical history of patients indicated for WLH. The aim of the theoretical part is to compare obesity treatment in medical care and commercial weight loss programs (for commercial weight loss programs the term “obesity management” is used). The study evaluate the most common indications for WLH, determine weight changes during the hospitalization on the Third Medical Department of First Faculty of Medicine Charles University and General University Hospital in Prague and compare the weight of patients with DM II and without DM II (nDM II) one year after the WLH. The data were collected retrospectively.
