RDF triples representing graph data seem to be a promising way how to enrich the contemporary Web of Documents towards the Web of Data more suitable for processing by programs. One of the essential problems is how to store and manage such data in databases, regardless whether we consider native approaches or benefit from decades of research in the area of relational databases. Although there exist several widely accepted ways of storing general RDF data in standard databases, we can consider particular knowledge from attached RDFS schemata or OWL ontologies in order to design more efficient relational schemata for storing corresponding RDF data.
The aim of this work is a research on possibilities and limitations of techniques for designing schemata of relational tables for storing RDF data in standard relational databases. The core of the work should be a proposal of own approach dealing with advantages and disadvantages identified in an analysis of existing theoretical and commercial approaches. The approach implementation will also be supported by experimental results.
