Students will be acquainted with the basic resources of the forensic psychology. They will also learn about the different applications, e.g. psychological investigative support - consultation. They will learn to pose and answer the questions connected to the criminal investigation. |

Tasks 1. intercultural aspects a. prepare a short presentation (can be in power point, in groups of 2-3) of certain intercultural aspects – how can interculturality and multiculturality (e.g. in your country) step into forensic practice (you can choose one aspect, one particular case, one topic) b. find an article in Ebsco or Proquest, include the article into the presentation c. presentations – during lesson - the date will be announced d. shared document – to display - for the others the chosen topic and particular study e. 10 – 15 min, info about the study, topic, discussion 2. victimology a. Watch a video – document about victims or its particular part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ghpl4vDZ3s. There are 14 parts - the names of the parts and exact timing will be in the shared on-line document. b. describe the case, c. describe the impact on the different groups of victims - the one, who is reporting, maybe there are some other people, who have been vicimised; - what feelings do they express; what wishes, if any do they mention? d. what kind of psychological help could be provided to the victims? e. present in groups of 2-3, 10-15 minutes (register to shared on-line document – chosen topic, colleagues) f. term will be announced 3. observation – interviewing techniques a. read about observation in psychology (reader sup. IS or sylabus) and about interviewing techniques b. try to apply your knowledge while watching the video with police interviewing c. participate on a video-analysis during the last lecture
If you do not present in the lesson (tasks 1 and 2) send the tasks are in written form. Task nr. 3 - during the lesson - video analysis - write shortly afterwards – what interviewing techniques were used in the interviewing. You can send them through the semester or at the end of the semester – term: at least 1 week before you need me to put you the grade into the IS. Links to the shared documents will be sent via e-mail
