DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE COURSE, PLEASE! x x x The Media and Culture Reading Seminar is based on creative reading and successive discussions in groups. This reading seminar brings the media cultural studies texts upon an agenda and focuses on texts which are considered to be either canonical or (alternatively) covering the recent developments within the discipline. The reading seminar is always pointed to selected topical/authorial area within the discipline and attempts to deepen the expertise of students in this particular dimension of the field. The official language of the seminar is the English: all texts are in English, in-class discussions are carried out in English and final assignments are also presented in English. |

Requirements to be met to receive the credits: 2) Select the particular chapter of the seminar book. Assign your name to the selected chapter via on-line spreadsheet. (Links to the on-line spreadsheet will be distributed by e-mail.) 3) 4) Prepare the powerpoint presentation to present in front of the class on the last The length f presentation is 10 minutes. The presentation must have two parts. In the first part review the main theoretical points of the chapter. In the second part present the specific, actually existing case in media/cultural reality to illustrate the theoretical argument. The second part may support the argument or it can dispute it critically. |
