This course consists of two blocks of theoretical lectures and practical seminars. The purpose of the theoretical block is to provide essential orientation in qualitative methodological approaches and to introduce grounded theory and its application in detail. The practical block is then based on discussions and analysis existing research. Students work individually on projects and through their personal practice of grounded theory identify concrete methodological and practical problems in their research. These problems are then discussed in seminars. The course thus presents practical research methods as well as providing feedback. The primary objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to undertake independent qualitative research based on grounded theory.
