I find French foreign policy fascinating, over the past few years the relationship with Mali has been drastically changing. A real breakup occurred after 60 years of strong partnership between the two republics. It is important to study this rupture through the scope of the political discourse as it displays not only events but also representation. Such a study will permit to identify two distinctive narratives between the protagonists and a rupture not only in their partnership but also in their perception of their shared history.
