Předběžná náplň práce

Charakteristika tématu
Cílem bakalářské práce: „Délka dožití a její určující faktory: Studie České republiky na začátku 21. století“ je definovat vztah mezi délkou dožití a různými faktory, které ji mohou ovlivňovat. Délka dožití je pravděpodobnost člověka, že se dožije určitého věku. Data o této veličině jsou k získání na Českém statistickém úřadě. V této práci zohledníme několik kategorií faktorů. Nejprve se zaměříme na faktory popisující infrastrukturu zdravotnictví na okresní úrovni. Za druhé prozkoumáme sociálně-ekonomické faktory. Nakonec do našeho modelu zahrneme i faktory popisující znečištění ovzduší a boj s ním. Pokusíme se pak určit, které z těchto faktorů mají největší vliv na délku dožití.

Záměr
Záměrem práce je najít faktory určující délku dožití v České republice. Chceme najít model, který by v budoucnu pomohl optimalizovat nejen systém zdravotních plateb, ale i například plateb do penzijního fondu. Navíc pokud se tento druh práce osvědčí, mohla by být důvodem k vytvoření podobné studie i v jiných zemích za stejným účelem.

Výzkumná otázka
Naší hlavní otázkou je: „Jaké faktory ovlivňují délku dožití v České republice na začátku 21. století a jak je můžeme vylepšit?“

Metodologie
V naší práci hledáme model délky života pro muže a ženy ve věku 45 a 65 let zvlášť, přičemž používáme metodu nejmenších čtverců (OLS).

V první části se podíváme na předchozí výzkum v tomto poli a jeho výstupy. V druhé části budeme pokračovat se sestavením vlastního robustního modelu. V třetí, analytické, bude naším cílem vysvětlit vlivy jednotlivých proměnných na délku dožití. Na závěr shrneme veškeré informace o vysvětlujících proměnných a jejich významnosti.

The goal of bachelor thesis: „Life expectancy and its determining elements: A study for the Czech Republic at the beginning of the 21th century“ is to determine the dependence of life expectancy on various factors. Life expectancy is understood as the probability of living up to a certain age, for which data are available through Czech Statistical Institute. First of all, we will consider factors connected with health infrastructure in particular division/area. Secondly, we will take into account environmental (socio-economic) variables and at last but not least we will focus on environmental pollution influences as well. We will try to determine which of those factors are the most influential and how do they influence life expectancy.

Aim
The aim of this thesis is to find factors determining the life expectancy within the Czech Republic. We want to find a model which would in the future help to optimalize the health care and pension system within the Czech Republic. Moreover the practical use of this thesis could be a stimulus in the future for similar thesis in other countries.

Research question
Our main research question is: What factors are influencing life expectancy in the Czech Republic nowadays at the beginning of the 21th century, and how we can improve them.

Methodology
In our study we are going to look for model for life expectancy for male and female at the age of 45 and 65 respectively. We are going to use the method of Ordinary least squares socalled OLS due to its simplicity and convenience.

In the first part we will analyze the previous results in this field and state by which factors is the life expectancy effected. In the second part we will focus on setting up a robust econometrical model. In the third, analytical part, our goal will be to explain the effects of discrete explanatory variables including their significancy. In the conclusion we will summarize the information about the development of discrete explanatory variables and their total significancy.
