The Specialised Law Studies is an innovative master's program taught in English, designed to provide education in specific legal area with a focus on the evolving global context. The program uniquely emphasizes a European perspective, offering students a deep understanding of the legal challenges that arise in an international, particularly European, environment.
Students can choose one of the three offered specializations that align with their professional interests and future career goals:
1. Business and Competition Law: Focuses on legal issues related to international trade, market regulation, and competition law.
2. Human Rights Law: Provides comprehensive knowledge of the protection and enforcement of human rights on both national and international levels.
3. Health Law: Deals with legal questions surrounding healthcare systems, bioethics, and the pharmaceutical sector.
The program is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. It emphasizes critical analysis and the application of legal rules in various contexts. Graduates will be prepared to tackle complex legal issues in a rapidly changing world, making them highly competitive in the international job market, particularly in multinational corporations, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, or academic institutions.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates of the proposed program will develop deep expertise in their chosen specialization—whether it be human rights, healthcare law, or business law. Their knowledge, which they will be able to contextualize within European and international frameworks, will prepare them for careers in practice (such as with multinational companies, international trade, or diplomacy) and academia. The program also offers a strong foundation for pursuing a Ph.D. in law at Charles University or other especially international universities.
Graduates will gain skills in applying EU and international law to both national and cross-border cases. Through interactive learning, they will master sophisticated legal reasoning, utilizing the latest jurisprudence from international and european courts and advancements in their chosen field.
The programme prepares graduates to perform specific activities in legal area according to their chosen specialisation, especially abroad, and they will find employment in the labour market both in the Czech Republic and abroad in various sectors, including international business, diplomacy, non-profit organizations focused on human rights, as well as in healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors as corporate lawyers, consultants, and advisors.
