Deutsche und französische Philosophie master programme is - in adition to the studies of the important authors of this tradition - focused on interdisciplinary and intercultural aspects of philosophy. Arising from the background of principal questions of phenomenology, philosophical anthropology and contemporary philosophy, the courses deal with an analysis of the turning points in history, intercultural philosophy, philosophy of art, as well as an interdisciplinary project of „oikological philosophy“ which offers new perspectives on other disciplines, such as economy, ethics or ecology. The programme is equally suitable for students interested in cultural science and theory from the philosophical point of view.
Students will benefit from small working groups in seminars and a truly individual approach. The programme is taught in the German language, all assignements, as well as the master’s thesis, are submitted in German. From the very beginning of their master, students will be encouraged to present their research projects in the seminars. Personal research interests of each and every student will be strongly supported so that the projects can be successfully realized or published.
