SP characteristics

Students learn both theoretical and practical ways of thinking about the area of Adapted Physical Education and Sport. The Study Programme is based on a wide spectrum of scientific branches focused not only on a pedagogy – psychological area (with a special pedagogy specialization) but also on those branches coverd by Kinanthrpology (such as biomechanics, physiology in stress conditions), on the top of it those branches which enable students to gain their knowledge in the area of people with specific needs (pathophysiology, clinical branches, rehabilitation practice, orthotetics, prosthetics, sports for people with specific needs, etc.). Professional skills are gained and developed through professional experience. The subjects focused on a final thesis processing are essencial part of the Study Programme. The Programme provides a detailed idea about methods used while dealing with people with specific needs. It also provides students with new trends in development in the mentioned area and their application in the real life. A balanced structure of obligatory and optional subjects brings the students the professional knowledge, skills and competence matching with the requirements in Bachelor Study Programme. The Programme also enables students to see deeply into the particular area and gain necessary competence for their professional career in wide rage of sport institutions dealing with people with specific needs.
It is an academic Programme focused on education of experts in the branch Adapted Physical Activities.

Graduate profile for the public:
A graduate in Bachelor Study Programme is an expert with a university education (an asistent, instructor, coach) in the area of adapted physical activities and sports performing in different sport clubs and federations, leasure time centres, other sport institutions dealing with people with specific needs as well as in public administration institutions.

The graduates show:
- an expert knowledge in the area of special pedagogy, pychology, philosophy of sport, adapted physical activities and physical education, physiology, pathophysiology, physiology in stress conditions anathomy and kineziology.
- understanding the importance of physical education and sport for people with specific needs (health, fitness, recovery, social inclusion etc..).
The graduates obtain an essencial competences required for the following Adapted Physical Education and Sport Master Study Programme.

The graduates manage to:
- use their skills and experience in a creative way in different institutions and associations dealing with people with specific needs.
- solve practical problems in the frame of their tasks in the area of Adapted Physical Education and Sport of People with Specific Needs using their skills and experience.
- deal with the people with specific needs of different age and social groups in a sufficient way.
- create a pleasant social environment for applying the adapted physical activity and motivate the individuals to a physical activity.

The graduates are able to:
- show their skills and activities in basic fields of sport and physical activities suitable for people with specific needs.
- plan, apply and evaluate training and fitness programmes and activities with respect to the target groups and their specifications (for example people with disability, sonsor disability, cognitive function disability, elderly etc..)
