SP characteristics

The doctoral programme is designed to produce highly qualified graduates who are able to do independent creative work, thus contributing to the development of theory and research in pedagogical sciences. The primary aim is to provide a more thorough grounding in the field, introduce students to the latest domestic and international findings, research results and trends in education policy, and to develop the students’ methodological skills. The content of the study is designed to provide a broader scientific framework for research in education and an opportunity to gain a more solid understanding of selected disciplines and their current issues. Study in the doctoral programme revolves around a doctoral dissertation which is a piece of original scientific work that brings new findings in the given area, contributing on a more general level to the growth of the field domestically and internationally.

Graduate of the doctoral program Education is an expert in the area of education who cultivates the ability to apply theoretical equipment in a creative way during the course of study. He/she is knowledgeable, methodologically and linguistically equipped for an individual and a team scientific work in education and related social sciences. He can be employed in particular as a scientist, university educator, teacher at higher professional schools, as an expert or manager in separate educational provisions and as a conceptual or analytical expert in public administration institutions. The acquired competencies allow him/her to work professionally in a wide range of professions where he/she uses profound professional and methodological knowledge, critical thinking and professional insight.
