SP characteristics

The Sustainability Management programme is an interdisciplinary Master's programme providing a comprehensive education that leads students to understand the theories, laws, processes, principles, methods, and tools related to sustainable development. The programme combines a broad spectrum of knowledge from the natural sciences (and, to a lesser extent, the social sciences) with the practical skills needed to effectively address and manage sustainable development issues at local, regional, and global levels. Graduates can find employment in the expert community, public administration, the corporate sector, and NGOs. The program aims to teach students to understand the complexity and interconnectedness of the natural and social environment, to navigate current knowledge in the field of sustainable development, and to critically evaluate global trends in this area. Students will learn to recognize, analyze, and evaluate complex environmental issues in the context of current social and economic situations. The course also aims to develop the ability to identify problems, formulate strategies for solving them, and propose measures in accordance with the principles of sustainability. The Sustainability Management programme prepares graduates for successful careers in managing sustainability-related projects, strategies, and policies at various levels - from local government to national government to multinational organizations such as the EU and OECD. Graduates will also find employment in NGOs and the private sector, where they can contribute to the implementation of sustainable strategies and innovations.
