Doctoral studies cover general subjects and skills required for scientific research work and critical scientific thinking. Student obtains detailed clinical experience needed for specialisation in clinical discipline Radiology and Imaging methods including Interventional radiology and Nuclearmedicine (NM focusedmainly on diagnostic hybrid imaging). There searchis aimed mainly clinically, some studies, especially in intervertebral radiology, can be based on the experimental work on animals. A graduate of DSP Radiology and imaging methods is a highly qualified expert who is versatile for further work at an academia or research with a biomedical focus on the field. S/he has a detailed knowledge of Radiology and interventional radiology, hybrid imaging (Nuclear medicine). This knowledge is applied during research work in pertinent departments. S/he has acquired the skills and methodology used in biomedical research. S/he can independently and critically evaluate new findings in accordance with evidence-based principles of medicine, propose a scientific experiment to solve scientific questions of a pertinent nature, prepare a grant application for research support, manage a small team, interpret, discuss and present the results of the scientific work.
