Graduate profile for the public:
The aim of the study program is to educate a highly qualified expert who is versatile for further work at an academia or research with a biomedical focus. S/he has a detailed knowledge of endodontics, cardiology, periodontology, dento-alveolar surgery, maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, dental implantology etc. This knowledge is applied during research work in clinical environment. S/he has acquired the skills and methodology used in biomedical research. S/he can independently and critically evaluate new findings in accordance with evidence-based principles of medicine, manage a small team, interpret, discuss and present the results of the scientific work. Doctoral studies cover skills required for scientific research work and critical thinking. Standard length of study is 4 years, study is concluded by defending of the thesis, absolvent is awarded the title "Ph.D.".
