SP characteristics
The study programme aims to prepare social workers who are fully qualified to perform social work activities within the framework of evolving social development and change in full compliance with the relevant regulations, particularly Government Regulation No. 275/2016 on areas of education in higher education. Social work is an academic and practical helping discipline focused on the intersection of disciplines such as philosophy, law, sociology, psychology, health science, economics and others. Social work activities focus on supporting the social functioning of an individual, family, group or community, ideally within their natural environments. Social work activities result in social change at various levels – individual, family, group, community, or systemic. Social work is based on values such as dignity, solidarity, equality of opportunity and non-discrimination. Social work expertise is also used in developing concepts and methodologies for social protection systems.
