SP characteristics
In the current social and political situation, which is characterized by the increasing complexity of social interactions, the development of technology, the intensification of the requirements for specialization and the ability to process information quickly, there is a strong need for a solid intellectual grounding of individual and collective human life and the ability to reflect on ethical issues. At the same time, in this situation, where the difficulty of life orientation is further deepened by an intensive process of secularisation, we can observe a tendency for an increasing number of people - especially young people - to ask questions about the meaning of life. The proposed programme responds to these challenges and searches by offering a study that allows partial questions and issues to be seen in terms of the whole, grounded in the tradition of European philosophical and ethical thought, and at the same time grounded in a spiritually anchored type of reflection.

Graduate profile for the public:
We start from the idea that nowadays it is most desirable to educate students in their own tradition of thought and in the ability to both learn and critically reflect on what they have inherited, and that this ability is the best preparation for practice. Graduates of such programmes usually have no problems finding employment, even if their studies do not direct them specifically to a particular sector. Employers may value graduates' general ability to argue, to think abstractly, to understand complex texts and, last but not least, to express themselves orally and in writing in a variety of genres.
