The continuing Master's program Teacher Education of Religion and Social Sciences for Upper Secondary Schools aims at qualifying the student for employment as a secondary school teacher with the competence for education of religion and of social sciences. The program satisfies the demand for teaching staff in the field of religion, ethics, philosophy and basics of social sciences and for pedagogical workers, informed in the issue of religion and its role in social contexts. The program enriches traditional religious studies with additional social disciplines and interprets it in a close connection with ethics. The Master's program enables graduates to be employed as secondary school and elementary school teachers, where they can teach: Social Sciences, Philosophy, Religion, Ethics and Civics. They can work in state, private and non-profit educational or religious organizations. They can also find employment in academic fields or institutions focused on science and research in pedagogy and related fields.

The graduate of the Master's program Teacher Education of Religion and Social Sciences for Upper Secondary Schools is well-informed about common issues of pedagogy and psychology, understands the issues of special pedagogy, pedagogical psychology and crisis intervention, can deal with methods of education of religion and the basics of social sciences. He or she has acquired the fundamental knowledge of humanities – sociology, political science, economy, law and cultural anthropology and broad knowledge in the field of religion, especially Christianity, philosophy and ethics.
The graduate of the program can perform didactical analysis of curricula, prepare and plan the curricula, adequately communicate with the participants of the educational process, prevent school violence and give support in managing it, and identify any form of exclusion or discrimination or any signs that may indicate social problems or mistreatment.
