The graduate of the Master's program Teacher Education of Religion and Social Sciences for Upper Secondary Schools is well-informed about common issues of pedagogy and psychology, understands the issues of special pedagogy, pedagogical psychology and crisis intervention, can deal with methods of education of religion and the basics of social sciences. He or she has acquired the fundamental knowledge of humanities – sociology, political science, economy, law and cultural anthropology and broad knowledge in the field of religion, especially Christianity, philosophy and ethics.
The graduate of the program can perform didactical analysis of curricula, prepare and plan the curricula, adequately communicate with the participants of the educational process, prevent school violence and give support in managing it, and identify any form of exclusion or discrimination or any signs that may indicate social problems or mistreatment. He or she can perform evaluation of education from the perspective of its process and effects. He or she can make use of information technologies and modern ways of presentation in the educational process. He or she can implement a curriculum in the field of religion and basics of social sciences.
The Master's program enables graduates to be employed as secondary and elementary school teachers, where they can teach: Social Sciences, Philosophy, Religion, Ethics and Civics. They can work in state, private and non-profit educational or religious organizations. They can also find employment in academic fields or institutions focused on science and research in pedagogy and related fields.
