SP characteristics

The Study Programme combines the Physical Education with the Military Physical Education. The graduates are educated in the branch of Kinanthropology which they use in the area of Military Education and Physical education in schools. This branch includes the areas of Humanities (philosophy and history of sport), Social Sciences (psychology, sociology, pedagogy and sport management), Biomedicine (biomechanics, physiology of sport and exercise), interdisciplinary (anthropomotorics, fitness and healthy lifestyle, nutrition). In addition to that there is also the didactics of sport on its theoretical and practical basis as well as the basic didactics of the main sport activities. The subjects focused on a final thesis processing, mainly on learning about a basic methodology in the scientific research, are the essential part of the Study Programme. Professional skills are gained and developed through professional experience.
The students participate to a certain extent in activities connected with methodology within the Faculty as well as within the units of the Ministry of Defence.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduates are able to design, offer and coordinate physical activities within the resort of Ministry of Defence and its different types of army. The Programme consists of two areas of education which are Physical Education and Sport, Kinanthropology and Teacher Education. This fact brings the graduates the necessary competences in the area of physical education and sport as they gain the variety of knowledge and skills in coaching and methodology, psychology, sociology, diagnostic and intervention. The graduates are able to design, assess, coordinate and manage physical activities for different age and social groups of the population in the respect of their needs and specific local conditions. The graduate in the Military Physical Education, Physical Education and Sport for Teacher Education gains the competences which are essential for the following Master Study Programme Teacher Education of Physical Education and Military Physical Education for Upper Secondary School and Teacher Eduaction of Physical Education for Upper secondary School.
