SP characteristics

The aim of the IEPS program is to educate strategically and critically minded professionals in the areas of business, politics, and social governance. IEPS is a multidisciplinary programme which combines the studies of economics and politics to equip its graduates with the ability to creatively solve practical problems in the areas of economics, politics and social governance on the levels of business corporations or banks, regional and national governance, as well as transnational regional entities. The IEPS study programme cooperates with similar programmes of study at the universities in Oxford, Amsterdam, Vienna or Bayreuth.

Graduate profile for the public:
A graduate of the Master’s programme in International Economic and Political Studies is qualified to undertake advanced-level analysis of socio-political decision-making at the intersection of economics and politics, especially due to his: knowledge of the key economic concepts and categories and the relations between them in the context of the main economic theories and economic schools; knowledge of the available portfolio quantitative analytical methods at the level of the minimally qualified user of the outputs of such methods; knowledge of political systems, the nature and distribution of power in these systems, as well as their social, economic, historical, spatial and cultural contexts; ability to combine the study of political theories with practical issues of the functioning of political institutions and the actions of political actors at different levels of politics.
