SP characteristics

This study programme prepares specialists employed in creation, implementation and evaluation of education programmes focusing on cultural heritage. It offers culture-historical, pedagogical and didactic education; it gives its students an overview of particular categories of both material and immaterial heritage, as well as of a range of historical- and humanity disciplines focusing on various aspects of heritage of the past. The course also creates prerequisites for development of research competences of the graduates, especially in the area of cultural-historical and memory studies and free-time pedagogy. The programme´s concept is based on a balanced interlinking of theory with practice.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduate possesses both theoretical and practical know-how for the creation, organization and implementation of education programmes in the areas of both material and immaterial cultural heritage, falling within the wide frameworks of both informal and formal education. He/she disposes of insight into particular categories of both material and immaterial cultural heritage, and understands the system of care covering the cultural heritage in the Czech Republic. He/she possesses high-level knowledge of the methodology of cultural-heritage interpretation, and understands the methodology of pedagogical research.
