The study programme has been created considering the present state, needs and presumed development of the system of physiotherapeutic care in the Czech Republic. The standard duration of studies is 3 years in the full-time form. It is a profession-oriented study programme. After successful completion of it, the Bachelor degree is awarded.
Subject matter of the study is focused on theoretical as well as clinical knowledge of biomedical sciences and humanities and on practical skills in the field of physiotherapy and kinesiology, including diagnosis and therapy of functional and organic disorders of the locomotor system and the related systems, including psychological functions and treatment of painful states of the locomotor system.

Graduate profile for the public:
By graduating in this study programme, the students obtain the necessary theoretical as well as clinical knowledge of biomedical sciences and humanities that is essential for the profession of the physiotherapist.
The graduates obtain a good grasp of theoretical background and philosophy of physiotherapy. They are able to perform complex patient examination, set the objectives of the therapy, design a short-term as well as long-term therapeutic plan and implement it, evaluate the effect of physiotherapeutic intervention, perform functional diagnosis and fully enter all that in medical records.
Basing on the doctor’s indication and recommendation as well as on the patient’s actual needs the student physiotherapists perform objective functional diagnosis focused on the locomotor system, including the use of modern technology. Within the therapy, the students apply selected kinesiology procedures, techniques and methods with the aim of reaching the highest possible functional ability and the highest possible quality of life.
The alumni will be able to work under the biopsychosocial model, on which the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health is based.
