The aim of the study program Financial Mathematics is to provide basics of Finance, Insurance and Mathematics and to prepare students for the follow-up master study program or to hold a position in financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, investment and pension funds) and government administration.

Graduate profile for the public:
The bachelor in financial mathematics knows basic theoretical fields of mathematics (algebra, calculus, probability and statistics, optimization) and applications of mathematical methods to insurance and finance. He has mastered modelling and computational aspects of these methods and has obtained practical skills necessary for orientation in financial environment and government administration. The programme provides modern theoretical and practical knowledge allowing the graduate to study in a follow-up master program or hold an analytical or managerial position, mainly in banks and insurance companies.
