The study program Physics provides fundamental knowledge of experimental and theoretical physics, mathematics and computer programming. In the third year the students choose optional courses and a topic of a bachelor thesis (usually in accordance with the planned field of future master's studies), and they obtain practically oriented knowledge in one of the following fields: Astronomy and astrophysics, Geophysics, Meteorology and climatology, Theoretical physics, Physics of condensed systems and matters, Optics and optoelectronics, Physics of surfaces and ionized environments, Biophysics and chemical physics, Nuclear and particle physics, Mathematical and computational modeling in physics and technique.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduate has a comprehensive knowledge of experimental and theoretical physics covering the whole spectrum of physical sciences. The graduate has also obtained a solid knowledge of mathematics and computer science, and has a deeper knowledge of one particular field of physics. With a broad education, adaptability and generally recognized capacity for creative and abstract thinking, the graduate is well prepared for subsequent master studies, as well as for a career elsewhere in technology and commercial sectors.
