The MSc. program Chemistry and Physics of Materials is focused on finalisation of education of experts possessing theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of solid state chemistry and material science. The graduates are prepared above all for research and development in interdisciplinary branches of material research, due to combination of selected taught theoretical and practical subjects of chemistry and applied physics. The graduates are particularly prepared for individual research but also for leading of research and development work groups.

The graduates of MSc. program Chemistry and Physics of Materials obtained sound theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of solid state chemistry, material science and selected branches of physics. The graduates are prepared for employment in interdisciplinary academic or private research teams and laboratories of companies involved in design and development of advanced materials and nanomaterials. They are also prepared for the application of material research results. They obtained necessary knowledge and practical skills for prediction, preparation and characterisation of new materials based on the understanding of the origin of their physical properties. The graduates are ready to lead and organize technical, production and administrative work groups.
