This five-year Dentistry Master’s study programme aims to provide students with the education required to practice dentistry in accordance with legal regulations.The graduate of the Dentistry Master’s study programme disposes of comprehensive knowledge in all fields of general medicine connected with the orofacial system in cause, manifestation and therapy. They display profound knowledge in the fields of clinical dental practice including preservation dentistry, children’s dental care, oral surgery, prosthetic dentistry, periodontics and diseases and conditions affecting the oral mucosa. They are equipped with adequate knowledge in follow-up study fields and dental specialities enabling them to perform all required activities and interventions within prevention and diagnostics thus creating conditions for possible further specialized studies.

The graduate of the Dentistry Master’s study programme disposes of comprehensive knowledge in all fields of general medicine connected with the orofacial system in cause, manifestation and therapy. The graduate displays profound knowledge in the fields of clinical dental practice including preservation dentistry, children’s dental care, oral surgery, prosthetic surgery, periodontics and disease and conditions affecting the oral mucosa. The graduate is equipped with adequate knowledge in follow-up study fields and dental specialities enabling them to perform all required activities and interventions within prevention and diagnostics thus creating conditions for possible further specialized studies.
The successful graduate must be competent in correlating findings and knowledge from all fields in such a way that the preventive and therapeutic procedures applied on the patient become an integrated unit.
The basic and specialized disciplines include preventive, therapeutic, diagnostic and research activities concerning diseases and anomalies of the teeth, gums, jaws, and surrounding tissues in the oral cavity as well as topographically or functionally related organs and tissues.
The graduate is prepared and qualified to independently perform practical procedures in general dentistry for patients of all age groups. They dispose of basic knowledge for professional growth in follow-up and specialized fields of dental medicine, that is to say in orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as periodontology and pediatric dentistry. On graduation, the dentist must display knowledge in the fields of technology of prosthetics, the running of dental laboratories, management, communication skills and the organization of the health care system, qualifying them for independent dental practice in the private as well as in the public sector.
