Study programme is focused on education of specialists trained in all chemical disciplines, and with a good knowledge of mathematics and physics. During the work on the bachelor project, the students solve specific scientific problems and contribute to research of their supervisor. Therefore, they are specialized in one of basic disciplines according to individual departments (i.e. inorganic, analytical, physical or organic chemistry). During the study, they are also endowed by knowledge and skills to utilize modern devices and methods (e.g. analytical methods, special synthetic methods, methods of theoretical chemistry, etc.).

Graduate profile for the public:
A graduate has exhaustive university-level education in the basic chemical disciplines – inorganic, analytical, physical, organic, macromolecular and nuclear chemistry and biochemistry. The bachelor is also educated in mathematics, physics and computer science. Practical skills of bachelor are guaranteed by the passing of practical laboratory training in all basic chemical disciplines. The choice of numerous recommended facultative subjects enables to acquire appropriate education level focused on specific scientific topics and the graduate is able to solve scientific problems during specialised continuing master degree course creatively and individually. Alternatively, the graduate can find employment mainly in chemical laboratories performing basic and applied research, in public administration offices monitoring environmental and hygienic conditions, in companies offering chemicals and laboratory equipment, etc.
