The program aims at providing the graduate with knowledge and research experience in a wide range of fields in discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science, based both on contemporary theoretical trends and on applications in physics, biology and other branches of science. The graduate has deep insight into important results and questions of the fundamental fields of discrete mathematics and computer science; they can apply contemporary algebraic, geometric, probabilistic and structural methods.
