SP characteristics

Master's degree Clinical and Toxicological Analysis is an independent two-year study program, the curriculum of which is based on the knowledge of chemistry (especially analytical and organic chemistry, biochemistry and toxicology) and biology at the bachelor's level of the KATA study program. As it is a multidisciplinary field of study among chemistry, biology and biomedicine, the emphasis is on teaching subjects related to the basics of life processes at the molecular level. Equally important part of the study is teaching modern methods of instrumental analysis, developed especially for the study of biologically active substances.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduates from the MSc program of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis have received a thorough interdisciplinary training, with emphasis on biomedical and environmental analysis, biochemistry, molecular biology and pharmacy. From their previous BSc. study in various chemical programs, they have a sound general basis for analytical specialization in this MSc. curriculum, mainly in the field of the theory and practice of modern instrumental methods. They are prepared to head analytical laboratories observing the good laboratory practice, especially in the fields of clinical and toxicological research and practice, in analyses of the food chain and in the fields of the development, production and distribution of pharmaceuticals. They are capable of evaluating the most important aspects of health risks encountered in various human activities, the consequences of interactions of chemical compounds with the environment, and the judicial importance of the official analytical results.
