The study program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary education in experimental fields of biological, biochemical and biomedical sciences with extended fundamentals of chemistry, mathematics and physics. The study is focused on the knowledge of processes in living organisms, especially at the cellular and molecular level with overlap into the information and regulatory networks at the level of multicellular organisms and systems. Great emphasis is placed on preparing for future experimental scientific work. The study plan therefore includes a number of practical laboratory exercises covering a wide range of modern laboratory methods.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates acquire a comprehensive education in experimental biological, biochemical and biomedical fields, including an extended foundation of non-biological disciplines - mathematics, physics and chemistry. The education predominantly covers the basics of molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics, microbiology and physiology of animals or plants. They also acquire basic knowledge of procedures and methods of scientific work, can work with scientific literature and can become members of scientific teams, but they can also find employment in the public sector. The obtained knowledge enables them to study the follow-up Master's study in the above-mentioned and other experimental biological fields.
