SP characteristics

The study program Clinical and Toxicological Analysis comprises all the principal fields of chemistry, i.e., in physical chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry and analytical chemistry. Special emphasis is placed on the approaches to biomedical and environmental analyses. For the purpose, the curriculum also deals with appropriate aspects of biology, microbiology, toxicology and clinical analysis, as well as with the principles of statistics and standardization, required for work in certified analytical laboratories.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduates from the BSc. program in Clinical and Toxicological Analysis have sound background in all the principal fields of chemistry, i.e. in physical chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry and analytical chemistry. Special emphasis is placed on the approaches to biomedical and environmental analyses. The graduates are thus prepared for work in various control laboratories, primarily in pharmaceutical, food and related industries, in healthcare institutions, and in public offices. They are prepared to head analytical control teams observing the good analytical practice and operating in research, commercial and administration institutions.
