Area Studies program studies the development of North America, Europe and Eurasia since the 19th century to the present. Being multidisciplinary by nature the program deals with history, politics, economy, society and culture of the mentioned areas. Special emphasis is put on history and culture with respect to collective memory, traumas and violence; politics and international relations with respect to migrations and bilateral relations; society and economics with respect to transformations of modern times.

Graduate from the program is endowed with internationally recognizable multi-disciplinary training in the study of International Area Studies. He can produce professionally and formally fair texts and is capable of qualified comments on the problems of the chosen territory. He is distinguished by his exceptional language skills upgraded during his stays at prominent foreign universities.
Due to practical internships during his study he adopts basic professional skills for the late job. Because of that he is demanded and good assessed employee in the state service, diplomacy, NGOs and international institutions as well as in the research and development field, in the private sphere and mass-media.
