The post-bachelor study programme „History of Christian Art“ is focused on deep understanding of context of all kinds of traditional History of fine arts (architecture, painting, sculpture) as well as its enlarged code extending to visual culture. The focus of students is oriented mainly on the role of Christian art and art issued from Christian tradition set in large social context including historical connections and functions. The programme develops and deepens the possibilities of application of theoretical knowledge in proffessional work.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduates of the post-bachelor study programme „History of Christian Art“ are able to solve demanding issues of History of Art field; based on summary of analytic and comparative methods can evaluate and clasify with expertise a piece of art considering the period and place of origin and are able to deal with the issues connected to authorship. They are able to interpret the origin and following reflexion of a piece of art in a large context. The are fully methodologically equipped for such tasks: they can reflect on used methodologic techniques and chose appropriatelly according to the character of the topic and examined issue. They include current topics of the 21st century society into the results of their scientific research.
