The aim of the study program is to prepare specialists in the field of special education to apply contact educational and activation activities aimed at people with physical, mental and social disadvantages with an emphasis on prevention of secondary consequences. Based on this, to prepare special pedagogues for special pedagogical activities in classes and schools established according to § 16 article 9 of the School Act, elementary schools, special elementary schools, elementary schools for pupils with speech disorders and auditory impairment as assistant teachers, in preschools, in preschools educating children with intellectual or physical disability, visual orauditoryimpairment, severe speech disorders,severe developmental learning disabilities, severe developmental behavioral disorders, multiple disabilities or autism.

Graduate profile for the public:
A graduate of the bachelor study program obtains general as well as professional skills. Graduates of a bachelor's
degree program Special Education are expected to work in assistant positions in education, health care and social
services where they are in personal contact with children, pupils or adults with disabilities. Graduate has
necessary skills for professional communication and cooperation with parents of children and pupils as well as
teachers from special and regular mainstream schools.

Gained competences for education of children/pupils with special educational needs according to Law no.
563/2004 Coll., on Professionals in Education and Change of Selected Law as amended.
