The aim of the study program is to equip professionals with a wide range of social sciences knowledge and competences focused on pedagogical-psychological disciplines, especially for special education at schools founded according to § 48 of Law no. 561/2004 Coll. (School Act as amended) and for special education assessment and counseling at school counseling facilities at the position of special educator (master).

Graduate profile for the public:
A graduate of the Special Education master study program obtains general as well as professional skills. Graduates are expected to work in counselling positions where they are in professional contact with children, pupils or adults with disabilities. Graduates will carry out special- educational assessment, propose and elaborate individual educational plans, provide special-educational intervention and counselling and collaborate with other experts on multi-disciplinary support of people with disabilities. They are prepared for communication and cooperation with parents of children and pupils as well as teachers from special and regular mainstream schools.
